24-year-old city man charged with attempted murder

A 24-year-old North Bay man has been charged with attempted murder following a police investigation into a stabbing last week.

That’s according to the North Bay Police Service who says on June 27, at around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to an incident in the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive.

A victim was located outside a residence suffering from multiple stab sounds.

The service says the victim was being assisted by people who had gathered to help, and EMS transported him to the hospital where he was later discharged.

The accused was arrested the next day.

He’s been charged with:

  • One count of Attempt to Commit Murder
  • One count of Assault with A Weapon
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • One count of Aggravated Assault
  • One count of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

He was held pending a bail hearing.
