The Municipality of West Nipissing is warning residents of suspicious posts circulating on social media.
Officials say they appear to be phishing attempts or potential scams, including one asking vendors to sign up for a craft show at the Recreation Centre in March.
The municipality says the information is false and no such event has been booked.
When in doubt, officials say call the venue directly to confirm the event and booking information.
Residents are also advised not to engage with social media posts and don’t click on any links or provide personal or financial information.
