A local event being held Wednesday night in recognition of Black History Month is now taking place online only because of the impending winter weather.
Nipissing University and the Nipissing University Faculty Association are hosting a screening of What We Deserve, a documentary that explores the enduring consequences of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and calls for restorative and reparative justice.
The evening includes a live Q&A session with award-winning filmmaker Shelley Jarrett, moderated by Dr. Charles Anyinam, Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Nipissing University.
The online film screening and discussion starts at 7 pm.
