The Labour Market Group reports job postings in Nipissing were ‘up significantly’ month-over-month to start the year.
There were 504 jobs postings in January.
That’s up over 29% compared to December and almost identical to the figure last year.
227 unique employers posted jobs in January.

LMG says that’s also a significant jump month-over-month (nearly 27%) and ‘continues to build on the momentum from December’.
The top five employers posting jobs include:
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Ontario Northland
- Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord
- Near North District School Board
- Voyageur Aviation Corp
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry followed by Educational Services.
Retail Trade rounds out the top three.
