Jocelyn Green is the first Executive Director of North Bay Pride.
She has been hired to newly created position.
Officials say Green is a dedicated advocate for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and brings years of experience and a deep passion for fostering inclusivity and equality.
She’s also no stranger to North Bay Pride, having previously served on the organization’s board of directors.
“I am truly honoured to step into this role and continue the incredible work that North Bay Pride has been doing for years,” says Green. “As someone who has been part of this community and served on the Board, I know firsthand the impact that Pride can have on people’s lives. I am excited to work alongside our dedicated team to build on our successes and create an even stronger, more inclusive future for North Bay.”
North Bay Pride says in her new role, Green will lead the organization in its continued growth, ensuring it remains a powerful voice for advocacy, education, and celebration in the region.
“Jocelyn has been a steadfast advocate and leader within our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her as our first Executive Director,” says Matty Reid, president of the board. “Her commitment, experience, and vision will be instrumental in strengthening North Bay Pride and ensuring its sustainability for years to come. Jocelyn is no stranger to this fight for equity, inclusion and diversity.”
Officials say Gree will oversee event planning, community outreach, and strategic initiatives that support the 2SLGBTQ+ community and its allies.
