Battalion to battle Brantford in round one with fan buses lined up too

The playoffs start later this week for the North Bay Battalion.

The Troops scored a 4-0 win over Sudbury on Sunday to clinch 8th place in the East.

Goalie Mike McIvor made 29 saves to earn the shutout.

Ethan Procyszyn’s 34th goal of the season in the first period proved to be the game winner.

Reyth Smith also tallied in the first, with Bronson Ride scoring in the second and Parker Vaughan finding the back of the net in the third period.

The Battalion travel to Brantford for games one and two of their playoff series on Friday and Sunday.

Fan buses are also lined up.

The cost is $120 per game and includes the bus ride and ticket to the game.

Games 3 and 4 are in North Bay on April 1 and 3.

2022 was the only other time the two teams met in the post-season, with the then Hamilton Bulldogs sweeping North Bay in the conference final.
