Outgoing Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is speaking at Nipissing University Thursday evening.
The university’s department of history is hosting Angus for the eleventh annual Clendinning Memorial Lecture.
Officials say the politician, author and musician is an outspoken advocate for unity against the threat of divisive leadership.
They say current international events have resulted in a change with his planned presentation, which has now become part of a spontaneously developing series of appearances he is calling his “Elbows Up Resistance Tour.”
Admission is free to the in-person and zoom event.

First elected in 2004, Angus won re-election six more times before he decided not to run in the current vote.
