City residents are being called to action by Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay.
They’re launching the 2025 season with the annual community-wide clean-up (Apr. 22-27) next week to keep the city clean and litter-free.
A flag raising starts off the campaign on Tuesday (10 am) at city hall.
“When we take the initiative to clean and care for our shared spaces, it strengthens our sense of community and reinforces our collective responsibility to keep North Bay beautiful”, says Hariett Madigan, Clean, Green, Beautiful Chair.
Officials say residents can choose any area of North Bay they want to clean, whether it’s a neglected park, a littered street, or a polluted shoreline, then register online and complete a litter pick-up between April 22 and 27.
2025 biodegradable bags are now available.
”The great thing is that Clean, Green, Beautiful bags don’t count towards your household limit,” says Chris Fulton, Tidiness Co-Lead for Clean, Green, Beautiful. “If you participate in a cleanup, you can place your bag at the curb and Miller Waste will collect them from April to November”.
The bags can be ordered on the groups website for free home delivery or picked up at the Farmer’s Market this Saturday (9 am to 1 pm).
