Measles cases are up locally and provincially.
The Health Unit’s website shows one active case of measles in the North Bay Parry Sound District.
The confirmed case count is also up to 17, from 12.
Officials say if you have symptoms of measles, isolate at home and avoid contact with others.
They also say call before visiting a health care provider, clinic or hospital so they can prepare for your visit and prevent exposing others.
Provincially, Public Health Ontario reports 95 new cases in the past week.
That brings the total number to 1,020 since the outbreak began last October.
Once again, most of the cases are being found in southwestern Ontario and, once again, the majority are among un-vaccinated individuals.
Three-quarters of the total measles cases so far have been in infants, children and teens.
