You probably wouldn’t have guessed organ donor registration to be one more popular activities in North Bay, but the Trillium Gift of Life Network says the city has a 53 per cent registration rate.
That’s the highest in the province, and well above the provincial average of 30 per cent which is a first for Ontario.
In 2011, no communities were at 50 per cent and now there are eight including North Bay, Sudbury, Nipissing South and Nipissing North.
