Latest labour report shows job vacancies in the Nipissing District up in June

The Labour Market Group has release its latest Labour Focus for the month of June, which shows a total of 484 vacancies were recorded for Nipissing District throughout the month. That’s a 17.8 per cent increase over May’s total of 411 vacancies. The top vacancy job was Personal Support Worker, with 10 openings. Statistics Canada, Zedd Customer Solutions, HGS Canada, Stock Transportation, and the YMCA of North Bay were the top five employers posting vacancies.

The June figure is also up 8.8 per cent compared to the same month last year when 445 vacancies were recorded. 207 unique employers posted vacancies. Of all vacancies 13.2 per cent were in the Health Care & Social Assistance field. Of the 484 vacancies 458 (94.6%) were found through online source, 82 (16.9%) requested a bilingual candidate for the position and 123 (25.4%) required some form of driver’s license.
