Update #1: The officer involved in the collision was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the OPP confirms.
Details are few but the North Bay Police Service is reporting Tuesday that one of their cruisers was involved in a single motor vehicle collision. The incident occurred Monday just before 5 p.m. on Highway 654.
Witnesses say that they heard a short police siren followed shortly after by first responders arriving at the scene. The cruiser had rolled over and come to rest in the ditch.
The OPP will be investigating as it is their jurisdiction for highway traffic incidents.
