A local business success story will soon reach another northern community.
Twiggs Coffee Roasters is looking for a franchise owner for a new location in Timmins. It would be the third franchise and fifth location for the family-owned coffee house that has seen dramatic growth since its opening in 1995.
Jennifer Twigg, son Adam and wife Meagan, and son Matt and wife Laura are the driving forces behind the expansion of the business. They opened the Fraser Street location in North Bay in 1995, adding the McKeown Street Twiggs across town in 2010. In 2013, Twiggs agreed to franchise their operation, first in Minnehaha Bay in Sturgeon Falls and last year with the Kingsway Twiggs in Sudbury.
Twigg says a partnership that has flourished at the Sudbury store with Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham has led to a similar partnership with Microtel for the prospective Timmins location.
The secret to the Twiggs recipe for success? “Hard work and attention to detail,” says Twigg.
