Highway 17 is completely closed at Highway 630, in Calvin Township, due to flooding.
The closure is approximately 50 kilometres east of North Bay and 20 km west of Mattawa.
No anticipated time of reopening has been given by the OPP and no word on whether roads in the area are passable to detour.

From the OPP:
The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) advise that Highway 17 west of Mattawa is closed due to flooding and washout. Â There is signage posted at Highway 17/630 at Bonfield and Highway 17 at Chalk River.
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is on site and repairs are underway.
The OPP will provide further information and updates of the road advisory as it becomes available.
