Police are redirecting foot traffic after an awning fell off a Main Street building.
The awning on the North Bay & District Multicultural Centre’s building on the corner of Ferguson Street and Main Street fell down in Thursday afternoon’s wind, witnesses report.
The signage fell, exposing loose nails and electrical wires.
Police say city and hydro crews have been called to assist in cleanup.

The sidewalk will be closed in the meantime.
Thursday saw wind gusts of up to 80 km an hour in North Bay.
