Gateway Casinos and Entertainment says its locations across Ontario, including Cascades Casino North Bay, will remain closed in the coming days.
In a statement on social media, Gateway says it’s working to restore its IT systems after a cyber security incident was detected over the weekend.
The properties closed Sunday afternoon.
“We have retained third-party cyber professionals who are working 24/7 to help us restore the IT environment,” reads a statement. “Our upmost concern is the protection of personal data and information.”
Gateway says it doesn’t have any information indicating the incident involves any compromise of personal data, but is notifying the relevant privacy officials and gaming regulator of the incident.
The gaming company says further updates will be provided as it works to reopen its properties in Ontario.
