Local contractor Venasse Building Group Inc., has won a 2023 Community Builder award from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC).
The award recognizes dedication to fair practices, worker rights and industry excellence.
Officials say as part of its continuing campaign against fraud in the industry, the UBC’s new contractor recognition campaign recognizes contractors who “play by the rules.”
“Congratulations to Venasse Building Group, one of the most well-deserving contractors we work with,” says Jason Rowe of the Carpenters’ Regional Council. “They’re a company that operates ethically and is well trusted in our industry.”
Steven Venasse, President, says the award is meaningful because it aligns with many of the important values within their organization.
“We always strive to operate at the highest ethical standard and to be an employer and contractor of choice in our market area, so it’s humbling to be recognized by our peers in this way,” he says.
Headquartered in North Bay, Venasse offers general contracting, construction management and design/build services.
