You have the chance this week to offer up your design ideas on the new All-Wheel Park that’s being built in the city’s Downtown Waterfront area.
The first of three workshops on the project takes place on Thursday, Sept. 21 (6 pm to 8 pm) at the North Bay Museum.
The All-Wheel Park will feature a skatepark and pump track and will be located by the multi-use courts, behind the city’s Peter Reid Transit Terminal.
Officials say feedback from the sessions, and an online survey that’s being launched with the workshops, will help New Line Skateparks finalize the preferred design.
“The design phase of this project will span the next several months, with construction scheduled to commence in the spring,” states a release from the city. “Guided by consultations held during the creation of the Downtown Waterfront Master Plan and the City’s Parks Master Plan, the project is expected to cost approximately $1.6 million.”
The city says the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing just over $800,000 with another $100,000 coming from the Kiwanis Club of Nipissing.
