Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School scored the highest in the area on the Fraser Institute’s annual rankings of Ontario Elementary Schools.
The school in Sturgeon Falls received a 7 out of 10.
Based on nine academic indicators from provincewide testing, 2975 schools in Ontario were ranked in the report.
That includes 33 in our area.
The Fraser Institute says the rankings allow parents to compare the academic performance of schools across the province.
“Our Report Cards offer parents information they can’t easily get anywhere else, about how their child’s school performs and how it compares to other schools in Ontario,” said Peter Cowley, a Fraser Institute senior fellow.
With a score of 6.7, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School was tops in North Bay.
