Over two dozen mining supply companies are being showcased this week at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum convention.
CIM Connect 2024 is taking place in Vancouver, BC.
Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, announced a FedNor investment of $265,000 to the City of Temiskaming Shores to establish the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase.
Four North Bay companies are in the pavilion, including:
- Andean Drilling Services
- North Bay Machining Centre
- Safesight Exploration
- Wipware
“Mining plays a critical role in the economy of Northern Ontario and supports good-paying jobs across the region,” says Rota. “That is why I am proud that the Government of Canada through FedNor is supporting the City of Temiskaming Shores and their continued promotion of Nipissing-Timiskaming, and our region as a whole, through the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase.”
Officials say regional businesses will have the opportunity to network, attract investments, showcase their products and services, and more.
