Tomorrow is the 29th annual Trojan Parade for Cancer.
Hundreds of students and staff from West Ferris Secondary School will be marching down to the waterfront’s bandshell.
Over the years, the school has raised over $400,000 for the fight against cancer here at home, with the money going to the North Bay Regional Heath Center Foundation for the Cancer Treatment Facility.
“Just about everybody at some point is going to be touched by the hand of cancer,” said Mark Roberston, teacher at West Ferris. “Knowing that the funds stay local, the tradition of the event builds momentum and the kids get involved and get behind it.”
Students will be leaving the school shortly after ten, with the festivities set to kick off around 11:30.
The past two years the Trojans have hit the 50 thousand dollar mark and will be looking to repeat that success again this year.
If anyone would like to donate to the cause, they can head over to the West Ferris Facebook page for more details.
