The Labour Market Group says Nipissing saw a significant increase in job postings, year-over-year, in September.
Their jobs report shows 591 postings that month.
Compared to the same month last year, the figure is up by more than 34%. However, it’s down slightly (2.2%) month-over-month.
The top five employers include:
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board
- Near North District School Board
- Nipissing University
- District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board
The top hiring industry, with just over a quarter of the job postings, is Health Care & Social Assistance.
Retail Trade and Educational Services round out the top three.
