The North Bay Police Service says no foul play is suspected after a woman was found dead on Oak St. last week.
At about 8:00 a.m. last Thursday, the service says officers received a report of an unresponsive female in the outdoor area of a property in the 300-block of Oak St. East. Officers, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services and EMS attended and located the 38-year-old, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
They also attended the person’s residence as part of the investigation. Police will not be releasing the location of the home in order to protect the identity of the deceased.
The service says there is no reason to suspect foul play, and it believes the incident to be non-criminal in nature.
The investigation is now under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario, as such, police cannot provide any additional details about the incident, including suspected cause of death, until that investigation concludes.
