Spring officially arrived just after 5 am on Thursday and that has the Warriors of Hope looking ahead to another season of paddling, healing and thriving.
The local dragon boat team of breast cancer survivors and supporters is kicking off the season with an open house on Sunday afternoon.
“Join us at our open house to discover how dragon boating brings survivors, family and friends together to heal, connect and thrive,” states a release from the team. “We will also share with you the Warriors role with our community.”
The open house takes place from 1 pm to 4:30 pm on Sunday, March 23 in the Our Lady of Fatima school gym on Marshall Ave.
Officials say people can learn about the health and wellness benefits of dragon boating, take part in a fun paddle routine and hear about the year’s race season.
