Job postings in Nipissing were ‘significantly’ higher year-over-year in February.
The Labour Market Group reports a 19% jump with 489 job postings that month.
However, it’s down slightly (3%) month over month.
“Putting a damper on the positive trend from January and December which saw an end to four consecutive months of declining job postings, the drop is minor and the increase in year-over-year numbers shows that this is in-line with expectations,” states the LMG February Jobs Report.

The top five employers posting jobs include:
- Voyageur Aviation Corp
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Ontario Northland
- Conseil Scolaire Catholique Franco-Nord
- Canadore College
The top hiring industry was Health Care & Social Assistance.
Retail Trade was next, followed by Transportation & Warehousing.
