A 40-year-old woman from Powassan has been arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police after an investigation into potential impaired driving.
According to police, on September 3rd members of the OPP were directing traffic on Main Street, when they stopped a vehicle. When officers began speaking to the driver, they detected an odour of alcohol.
The woman failed a breath test that showed her to be driving with more than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in her blood where she was arrested.
She was released from custody, and is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on September 13th.
