The Ontario Provincial Police have identified the man who died following a fatal crash on Highway 17 near Mattawa as 64-year-old Mirjana Knezevic Algonquin Highlands Township.
Around 12:30pm yesterday, an eastbound SUV collided with a westbound pickup truck on Monday afternoon, and as a result Knezevic was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck didn’t suffer any injuries during the collision.
The stretch of highway between Rutherglen and Highway 630 was closed for about six hours as police conducted their investigation.
