Change of Command Ceremony

Lieutenant-Colonel Mark Lachapelle relinquished command of 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron to Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Jolette at 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay, Tuesday.

The Sergeant David L. Pitcher parking lot was transformed into a parade square for the Change of Command where Colonel Mark Roberts, 22 Wing and Canadian Air Defence Sector Commander, presided over the ceremony. The occasion was witnessed by members of 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron, 22 Wing and local dignitaries.

Lieutenant-Colonel Jolette says, “I am both honoured and truly humbled to have the opportunity to return to my hometown of North Bay as the 21 Aerospace Control & Warning Squadron Commanding Officer. As I assume my new responsibilities with the support of my family and all of the members of 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron and 22 Wing, I am aware of both the challenge and importance of our mission. I am looking forward to working with each and every one of you over the next few years. And I say to our foe … INTRUDER BEWARE!’’
