All levels of government are being called on to work together to improve the health and economic welfare of all people in the north.
The Northern Ontario Service Delivery Association (NOSDA) approved eleven resolutions at their virtual 2021 Annual General Meeting this past Wednesday.
Members are asking for the province to help address the growing rates of mental health and addictions.
They’re also asking that municipalities be treated like partners when it comes to addressing the growing human services challenges.

Members also selected a new NOSDA Executive.
Mark King, Councillor in the City of North Bay and Chair of the Nipissing District Social Services Administration Board will serve as one of two NOSDA Vice-Chairs.
Penny Lucas, Mayor of Ignace and Vice-Chair of the Kenora District Services Board will also serve as one of two NOSDA Vice-Chairs.
Michelle Boileau, Municipal Councillor in the City of Timmins, and Board member on the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board will serve as NOSDA Chair.
