City reminding drivers about overnight parking bans

Overnight on-street parking bans are now in effect in North Bay.

They run until April 15 while overnight parking is prohibited in all municipal lots until the end of March.

The city says parking is not allowed in the Downtown Improvement Area from 3 am to 6:30 am, on blocks with cul-de-sacs and dead-end roads from 3 am to 8:30 am and all other streets from 3 am until 7:30 am.

There’s also a ban on parking on any city street within 12 hours of snow removal signs being posted and 24 hours of a snowfall.

Overnight parking is allowed, with a monthly rental pass, in the designated area of lot Oak 2.

The city says it’s also free from 4:30 pm to 8 am, on weekends and holidays year-round, in the McIntyre 4 parking garage (levels 1-4).
