Nearly a quarter of a million dollars is on the way to two area organizations.
The Mattawa Museum is getting the lion’s share with nearly $150,000. Officials say the money will be used to make the multi-level museum completely accessible and barrier-free.
The remaining $94,000 is on the way the Powassan, where the municipality will use the funding to install new accessible playground equipment in Lions Park.
The money’s from the province’s Trillium Foundation’s Capital grant stream.
MPP Vic Fedeli says the support will enable the recipients to better serve our community and continue to make a positive difference.
